Penguins

Our first view of King Penguins in the
Bay of Isles, South Georgia Island

These King Penguins were molting
in Grytviken, South Georgia Island

They do not like to move during
molting as it is uncomfortable.

Notice the fur seals lying
behind the penguins.

Having molted, these are
going in for a short swim.

Mr. Tuxedo

A couple of crooners.

This series is a penguin couple
performing a calling ritual.

They end by bowing to
each other.

Adelie penguins in Hope Bay
on the Antarctic Peninsula.

The pink is penguin guano.

They like to que up.

There's always at least one
non-conformist.

It is pretty hard to catch them
in the air

See how they displace the water
as they break the surface
.

You can tell by its pink color
that this shelf ice had been  used
by penguins before it  broke off.

This is where penguins and seals
rest when out in the antarctic
ocean.

This is old blue ice.

Note over 30 penguins on the right.
